POSITION:  Water/Wastewater Professional Engineer and Project Manager - 3 to 7 years exp. (B.S. in Civil, Environmental, Biosystems, Construction, or related field)

  • Winston-Salem, NC
     

We are looking for a service-oriented Project Engineer to join our team and help support our communities and the natural environment.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

OVERVIEW: Successful candidate will assist with water, wastewater, and general civil engineering projects. The general civil engineering may include collection and distribution pipelines, pump stations, industrial facilities environmental compliance, hydraulic modeling, water treatment, and wastewater treatment projects. 

TYPICAL ACTIVITIES: A significant portion of our consulting services are related to water, wastewater, stormwater conveyance, storage, and pumping. As such, the candidate should expect a substantial focus on hydraulic design activities.

Typical tasks include:

  • Client interactions (clients will primarily be municipalities; however, some clients may be in the privately owned utility sector)

  • Preliminary engineering

  • Development of construction documents

  • Permit coordination

  • Construction observation and administration

  • Field investigations and assessments

  • Other aspects of civil engineering services

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s in Engineering (Civil, Construction, Environmental, or similar)

  • 2-6 years of project experience in water, wastewater, utility, infrastructure, or design

  • EIT Certification and/or PE License or the ability to obtain the PE license within 2 years of hire date

  • Strong written and verbal communication

  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, ArcGIS, and/or hydraulic modeling software preferred


ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Capable of moderate lifting (generally 25 pounds or less)

  • Capable of operating a motor vehicle, must have a valid driver's license
