Vance Brooks, PE

Senior Project Manager

 

Vance Brooks, PE, PLS, is a Senior Project Manager located in HIGHFILL’s Wilmington office. Throughout his 40-year career, Vance has assisted public utilities and military installations with evaluations of critical water and wastewater infrastructure. In addition to planning and designing new facilities, he also leads the design and implementation of renovation, rehabilitation, replacement, and optimization projects for aging and failing assets. Vance is adept at breaking complex projects into manageable tasks, and he enhances the client’s experience by ensuring that critical project details are given proper attention at the appropriate time.

 

Vance holds an M.S. in Environmental Engineering from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a B.S. in Civil Engineering from North Carolina State University. He is a licensed professional engineer and professional land surveyor in North Carolina. Vance has received multiple honors awards for his work on water infrastructure projects, and he is a member of the 5-S Society. His past board memberships include serving as a member, second vice-chair, and chair for the North Carolina Water Treatment Facility Operators Certification Board, and past member and chair for the Duplin County Board of Health. 

 

Outside of the office you might find Vance traveling around the country or visiting a historical site. He also enjoys all things outdoors, including fishing, hiking, kayaking, and astronomy.
