I'm getting to collaborate with others for the greater good. I love learning from others and helping problem-solve.
Who is someone you admire and why?
I admire perseverance. I've watched many overcome life's curveballs. My mom, for one, has been dealt a lot of challenges from lots of moves and transfers to health challenges. She's resilient and kind. She has that energy that people want to be around.
When I'm not working, I enjoy...
traveling with family and being outside. I like hiking, paddleboarding, and am trying my hand at pickleball.
Where did you receive your education?
I'm a Tarheel born and bred! I did my undergraduate studies at UNC Chapel Hill and earned my master's degree from Appalachian State University.
What is something about you that might surprise most people?
I was a basketball manager as a student at UNC. I was fortunate to work with Dean Smith and Bill Guthridge. It was fun being a part of such a storied program.

What is your Spirit Animal?
A sea otter. There's a sense of playfulness and community. They are adaptable to life's changes and play their part in supporting their ecosystem. They work together to take care of one another often linking up to form rafts. Plus, they are cute and love the water!
