HIGHFILL Vice President Ray Cox is honored to kick off 2016 as the Vice Chair of the 2016 NC AWWA-WEA Board of Trustees. In this role, Ray will continue his service on the Executive Committee, helping the organization implement its core purpose of enriching the expertise of water professionals in North Carolina.
“I look forward to serving with our impressive army of volunteers to provide the very best available training and development for our water industry professionals.”
Association members will likely recognize Ray as the musical entertainer they often see jamming out during NC AWWA-WEA events. While Ray will have many added responsibilities as Vice Chair, he assures that he will still be available for gigs.
“As long as people still enjoy listening, I’ll keep the music coming!”
Ray has a long history of service to NC AWWA-WEA, serving as Treasurer in 2015 and previously as a committee chair and an instructor. He is a member of the 5-S Society, an honorary organization that recognizes exemplary service in the water industry. In addition to Ray’s extensive service to NC AWWA-WEA, he has also served as President of the Professional Engineers of North Carolina (2007-2008), as a member of the PENC Educational Foundation Board of Directors (2008-2011), and on the Engineers PAC (E-PAC) Board of Directors.
