POSITION:  Engineering CAD Technician/Office Manager (Full-time)

POSITION DESCRIPTION

OVERVIEW: Successful candidate will assist a growing engineering consulting office with various tasks designed to enhance daily workflow.

This is a full-time, in-office position with benefits. Our benefits include paid time off and paid employee health, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance.

 

The ideal candidate is a skilled and energetic professional that enjoys supporting project teams and is seeking challenging but rewarding work. The salary range is $43,000 - $53,000 based on experience.

 

TYPICAL ACTIVITIES: Engineering Technician duties include computer drafting using AutoCAD software to develop construction drawings, coordination with design engineers, assistance with completing permit applications, fieldwork, and other aspects of civil engineering support services. Successful candidate will also generate correspondence, spreadsheets, presentations, and other electronic documents related to engineering staff’s project work and will have opportunities to grow with the company.

 

Office Management duties include ordering and maintaining office supplies, processing mail, preparing packages for shipment, maintaining the office filing system, project database entry, making deliveries, receiving guests, receiving and directing phone calls, and administrative project support for our engineering staff.

QUALIFICATIONS

AA in an Engineering Technology or related field with 1-7 years of experience. Additional qualifications include:

  • Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D

  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

  • Experience with ArcGIS is a plus.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Highly motivated to work independently, as well as with teams

  • Attentive to detail

  • Exhibits a high level of professionalism

  • Capable of moderate lifting (generally 25 pounds or less)

  • Capable of operating a motor vehicle, must have valid driver license

  • Proven experience in one or more of the following areas is a plus:

    • Microsoft Office 365 applications (including SharePoint administration)

    • Computer and Network IT administration

    • Adobe Creative Suite/InDesign
